What is the age range for the kids?

Play & Create Sessions are designed to accommodate kids ages 2.5-6 years old. We make exceptions for kids under the age of 3 if they are: potty trained & feel comfortable when under supervision of non-primary care provider. On case by case bases, we may allow siblings of younger kids, up to the age of 9 to join in (if space permits).

After-School Sessions are designed to accommodate kids ages 6-9 years old. If space permits we can accommodate kids ages 5-11 on ‘Drop In’ bases.

How many kids are in a group?

On the average we expect no more than 6 kids per group, we like to keep it small.

What if my child is not potty trained?

While we ask that kids attending our program to be potty trained, during our Play & Create Session our Play-Educators, will assist and help a child change in case of an accident or if a diaper needs to be changed. One of the staff members will also always accompany a child and assist, if needed, with using the restroom.

What if me or my child is sick on the day of the appointment?

Our policy is that no child who is contagious, has a fever or who is visibly sick will be administered to the play area. If your child threw up less than 48 hours prior to their session we ask that you kindly reschedule. All kids will be checked for fever when they arrive.

If me or my child are sick can we reschedule our session?

Once you are send confirmation of your booking from GoReminders, your booking is considered as confirmed. Bookings that are cancelled at least 14 days prior to start date will receive full refund. Because we plan our programs, purchase supplies and schedule staffing around kids in attendance, ANY booking that is cancelled less than 14 days prior to program start date, or no shows, will be liable for full cost of program and there will be NO REFUNDS ISSUED.

Are there nap times or lunch?

Nope, sorry. There are no nap times. We will have designated snacks & lunch time, food must be provided by the parent. WE ARE A NUT FREE FACILITY. Please plan accordingly

Will staff members administer medicine?

Our staff are CPR and First Aid Certified, we will offer basic first aid but no staff member will administer any medications to a child.

Are you a licensed daycare or a preschool?

No, Work & Tot is NOT a licensed preschool or a daycare. We operate under provision in Article 47, that allows business to offer on site child supervision. Our After-School Program and Camp operate under exclusion based on quantity of kids enrolled.

Does my child need socks or shoes or anything else?

We ask that ALL kids come wearing socks or bring indoor shoes! We do not allow outdoor shoes in our Play Area. Please bring clearly labeled with a Child’s name bottle of water, upon your discretion a change of clothing and/or underwear (especially if a child is not fully potty trained). Clearly labeled (preferably zip lock bag) with diapers and wipes (if needed).

Are men welcome?

YES. Our Co-working space will happily accommodate mothers and fathers and non-parents … you need to work, you are welcome!

Can I get a PASS or A membership without utilizing childcare?

Yes. We offer a number of co-working passes and memberships that do NOT include child supervision.

Is there food/drink available for sale?

Not at this time. But we do have complimentary coffee/tea/water. You can also have food delivered to our location

How can I pay for my session?

The easiest way to book your session is through our booking portal. All bookings and payments go through Acuity and Square and are exceptionally safe. When paying on site, usually for drop in sessions, we accept any major credit card using payment device by Square. On case by case bases we may make an exception and accept payment through Zelle. All charges incur 8.875% sales tax.

GUEST POLICY

All Monthly Membership holders, when office space is reserved, are allowed to have up to 2 (adult) guests on premises (in the office) for up to 1hr per day. Guests who stay longer will need to purchase a day pass $30 or hourly pass $15. Please notify us in advance of any guests who will be joining you and make sure everyone has their ID on hand. ID’s will be photocopied for our records.
